Can I pursue ACCA if I’m from a Science/ Engineering/History/Arts background?
Yes, you can pursue ACCA as long as you meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
How long does it take to register as a student?
The online application should take no more than 10 minutes to complete, providing you have all the required documents ready before you start. You can also save a part-complete application and return to it later. ACCA shall maintain all the communication via your registered email address.
Are there any exemptions from the papers?
Graduates & Postgraduates with finance and accountancy background are eligible for the first 4 ACCA paper exemptions. Professionals in the finance & accountancy domain are eligible for 9 paper exemptions.
Why does ACCA award exemptions?
There are several routes to ACCA membership, and many students undertake prior learning which is equivalent to some ACCA exams. Wherever appropriate, ACCA ensures that students’ entry points match the knowledge and skills they have acquired from their previous qualifications. In doing so, they aim to provide students with the quickest possible route to membership.
When can I take exams and how many exams can I write in a year?
Students can take session-based exams during the four exam sessions a year. These take place over 5 days in March, June, September, and December. You are eligible to write maximum 4 papers every quarter, and no more than 8 papers a year.
What do you mean by ACCA member/affiliate?
As soon as you pass all 13 papers, you are a certified an ACCA affiliate. Once you complete 3 years of relevant job experience, you become an ACCA member. Further more, you become an FCCA after 5 years of relevant ACCA job experience.

Is Chartered Accountancy a degree?
Yes, it is a recognized professional degree for pursuing a career as a chartered accountant. The University Grants Commission on March 15, 2021, announced that CA qualification will be treated equivalent to PG Degree based on requests submitted from the ICAI.
Under the Revised Scheme, what is the nomenclature for all the three levels?
The three levels are now called as Foundation, Intermediate and Final in place of earlier levels, i.e. Common Proficiency Course (CPC), Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course and Final Course.
Can I fill the CA Foundation registration form offline?
No. Candidates have to fill the registration form online
I have just appeared in Class 12th Examination and results are still awaited, when can I join the Course?
You can register in Foundation Course till 1st July so as to appear in November/ December Foundation Examination.
What is the examination pattern in Foundation Course?Is there negative marking in Foundation Examination?
Out of 4 papers, 2 papers are subjective type (Paper 1 & 2) and rest of the 2 papers are objective type (Paper 3 & 4). Yes.Negative marking is for Papers 3 & 4 only and not for subjective papers, i.e. Papers 1 & 2.
What is Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) and Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (Advanced ICITSS)?Will the students get a certificate after the successful completion of the course?
ICITSS (OC & ITT) is a combination of Orientation Course (OC) and Information Technology Training (ITT). Advanced ICITSS (MCS & Adv. ITT) is a combination of Management and Communication Skills (MCS) and Advanced Information Technology Training (Advanced ITT). ICITSS and Advanced ICITSS are of 4 weeks each.
The students will get a certificate from the concerned Programme Organizing Unit (POU) after successful completion of the course.
How many attempts can I try for CA Foundation? And what is the upper age limit for CA Foundation?
Candidates can give six attempts in three years for CA Foundation. There is no upper age limit for CA Foundation. Candidates who met the educational qualification can try CA Foundation.
What is the duration of the Chartered Accountancy Course?
There is no defined course duration to complete the CA course, however, ideally, all courses of CA are completed within 5 years. The course is considered complete only after a student clears all papers of Chartered Accountancy courses.
Is articleship mandatory for CA Course?
Articleship is the most vital part of the CA course, it is a mandatory internship under a practicing Chartered Accountant for three years after clearing first or both groups of CA Intermediate.

Chartered Accountancy Course offers the students a dream career in the specialized areas of Accounting, Auditing, Corporate Finance, Corporate Laws, and Taxation.
Why CA Course is tough?
CA Course is not tough if attempted with the necessary training and focused study. It simply prepares/trains an aspiring CA during the course period for the kind of work/duties which the aspirant would be performing once actually becoming a CA.

How long does it take to complete CMA (USA)?
The CMA course duration is usually short. You can complete it within 1 or 1.5 years if you are dedicated.
Will I be able to do CMA (US) after 12th?
If you are appearing after 12th, you will get the CMA certificate only after completing your graduate degree.
What is IMA membership and what are its benefits?
An IMA membership offers a lotas a career driver. It helps in searching for jobs, attending IMA webinars, networking with the existing CMA’s and attending chapter events/volunteering work. It is required to earn CMA certification.
Why do we need IMA membership and how long should it be maintained?
IMA membership is necessary to earn CMA certification, and going forth, it isrequired to be maintained to keep CMA status active.

What is the Uniform CPA Examination?
It is a 16-hour test, including four sections that all jurisdictions require you to pass in order to qualify for a CPA license.
Will I take the same CPA Exam as the other candidates?
You will take a different but equivalent exam. The questions presented to you will be drawn from a set of test questions according to the defined specifications. Even though you take different exams, the specifications ensure that the results remain comparable.
What if I don’t have 120 credit points?
In case the candidate has less than 120 credits, a 1-year post graduate diploma course or a post graduation qualification is required before CPA registration.
Are there any exemption of papers?
No.
How much is the CPA enrollment fee?

CIMA, UK
What do I do if I have no formal qualifications?
CIMA operates a flexible entry policy, which means that as long as you feel that you have good knowledge and understanding of Mathematics and English, there is no requirement for formal qualifications to register.
Can I still register if I’m not working within management accounting?
You don’t have to work in management accountancy to study with CIMA. Anyone can register with CIMA. To call yourself a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), you will need to exhibit a minimum of three years’ worth of relevant practical experience.
Are there any exemption of papers?
Graduates & Postgraduates with finance and accountancy background are eligible for the paper exemption. Professionals in the finance and accountancy domain are eligible for the 14 papers exemption.
